Where to Stay

Rockbridge cabins are the sweet spot: quieter than South Bloomingville, closer to Rock House and Conkle's Hollow, and usually easier to book.

What You'll Pay

Weekend rates run 40–75% higher than weekday. Thursday counts as weekend at most properties. Here's the breakdown:

$60–$175/night

Basic cabins, tiny houses, hotels in Logan, off-season weekday stays. Functional — you'll spend all day on the trails anyway.

$175–$350/night

The sweet spot. Standard cabins with hot tub, fireplace, full kitchen. Also yurts, geodomes, and container cabins. Couples' weekend territory.

$350–$800+/night

High-end lodges (up to 32 guests), premium treehouses, properties with game rooms and home theaters. Group trip or splurge stay.

Booking Strategy

  • Fall weekends (mid-October): Book 6–12 months ahead. The hardest dates in Hocking Hills.
  • Holiday weekends: 3-night minimums, 3–6 months ahead.
  • Best deal: Tuesday–Thursday in January or February. Lowest prices, most availability, frozen waterfall season.
  • Pet-friendly: 200+ properties region-wide accept pets. Fees of $15–$75 per pet per stay.
  • Lodging tax: 6% on top of listed prices (Hocking County).

Rockbridge vs. South Bloomingville vs. Logan

Rockbridge: Quieter, more remote. Best for couples and small groups who want solitude. Closest to Rock House and Conkle's Hollow.

South Bloomingville: The cabin epicenter — densest concentration, closest to Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, and Cedar Falls. More choices but more neighbors.

Logan: Hotels, grocery stores, restaurants, gas. The practical base if you want amenities walking distance.
