Hocking Hills, Ohio

Your Rockbridge Getaway

Ancient sandstone. Quiet cabins. Ohio's largest natural bridge. The unhurried side of Hocking Hills — 90 minutes from Columbus.

The Quiet Side of Hocking Hills

While Old Man's Cave parking fills by 10 AM, Rockbridge stays peaceful. Remote enough to feel like a real escape, close enough to reach every major trail in 20 minutes.

5 min

Conkle's Hollow

One of Ohio's deepest gorges — 200-foot sandstone walls, strenuous rim trail. Nature preserve. No pets.

10 min

Rock House

Ohio's only true cave — 200 feet long with seven gothic-arch windows carved in a 150-foot cliff. Dogs welcome.

15 min

Old Man's Cave

The flagship: waterfalls, Devil's Bathtub, the hermit's recess cave. One-way trail. Arrive early or go weekday.

100+ ft

The Natural Bridge

Ohio's largest — a sandstone arch spanning a forested ravine. The 2.75-mile preserve trail is right here in Rockbridge.

Cabins from $150/night

Rockbridge cabins run the full spectrum — rustic one-bedrooms with wood-burning stoves to luxury lodges with game rooms and chef kitchens. Hot tubs are practically standard. The area's quieter vibe means better availability than South Bloomingville, especially on shorter notice.
